Public edition

This site reads a static export generated on 7 October 2026. Data preparation and spatial assignment were performed in PostGIS before publication; filters and performance screening run on the published aggregates. New contributions are disabled. Ookla observations cover 2025 Q1; population years cover 2020–2025. A snapshot export date is not a source observation date.

Coordinates & spatial operations

Measurements use WGS84 geography in PostGIS. Grid aggregation uses UTM zone 47N (EPSG:32647), with a fixed 1,000 metre grid. Nearby analysis uses ST_DWithin on cell centroids; district assignment uses ST_Covers.

Privacy & consent

Raw coordinates stay server-side. Public cells require at least 3 consenting measurements; each metric also requires 3 non-null observations. Cells with fewer than 10 samples are marked as limited. This threshold reduces exposure but is not a formal anonymity guarantee.

Interpreting performance

Crowdsourced cells show medians. External Ookla tiles contain means and test/device counts, and must be interpreted separately. Missing values remain null. A blank map means insufficient evidence, not absent internet service.

Analytical thresholds

NetMap download classes: Very Low below 10 Mbps; Low 10–30; Moderate 30–100; Good 100–300; High 300 or above. These are exploratory choices, not official standards. Low-connectivity analysis accepts a custom threshold.

Limitations

Research roadmap

Population exposure, temporal analysis and the experimental NetMap Digital Connectivity Index require further data and validation. They are not presented as completed analyses.
